CSI: Tenth Avenue South

We had an intruder. Frank called me after work and said something strange had happened at our house. Maybe a burglary but our TV and computer were still there? I rushed home to check on my jewelry help him figure it out.

Random items around the house were in disarray. The glass hourglass that was on the mantle was in a million piece of the floor and sand was everywhere.

It looked like someone was in our house looking for something... but, what?

Picture frames and little items that used to sit on the windowsill in the kitchen were knocked over.

(that is what my kitchen looks like on a normal day)

More toppled pictures in the back of the house...

We were really beginning to panic, and then we took a closer look...

Our intruder was of the furry variety!

Squirrel? Cat? Raccoon?! eek.

Little paw prints left as evidence!

Crime solved. Kinda.

We never found the culprit. We're guessing he left the same way he came in
(through the chimney).

Weird, huh?

  1. I was reading and instantly thought...animal. I had a cat that used to do all the things you mentioned. The places that cat got into amazed me. Glad it wasn't worse.

  2. Glad it was not the two legged variety.

  3. Those little paw prints make me think it's a raccoon- I think that you can seal off your fireplace and still be able to use it. Eek!

  4. I got chills when I first starting reading this, thinking "What kind of creep would just move random items?!" but then I saw the paw prints. You got a slight giggle out of me because my heart is still racing from panic. ;)

  5. Oh I was thinking bird!!! And I'm terrified of birds/bats- anything that can fly at me. Snakes, rats, etc--yeah, I'm not a fan, but I can cope. Birds-- not a chance.
So glad mostly everything was ok!
